I have some news for you… seasons change right? Ecclesiastes 3:1 says so.
I have been praying, thinking and talking myself through a hard decision for a few months. It is time for Gather Inspirit to shut down. Today will be our last day updating the site. The season here at Gather Inspirit is now over. It’s bittersweet for me but I know it is the right thing. I am following His lead.
“Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truths and teach me for you are God my savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” Psalms 25:4-5 (NIV)
There are many reasons for the need to make a decision. Including my health, new opportunities on the horizon and most of all answers to my prayers. It took a while for me to hear Him because I was so hoping He was going to say “keep it”. Our plans are not always His plans.
I would like to end Gather Inspirit by saying thank you to EACH one of you!
First, I want to thank you! Yes you! Our readers, our guest posters and our supporters for being with us, sharing our stories and being our cheerleaders. I pray God blesses you with other blogs or even new ones. I also pray we have touched you and encouraged you in some way!
Second, I want to thank Marci (Overcoming Busy). Marci has actually been the one running this site for the past few months while I have been fighting my health issues. I have been in the background but not around like I should have been. I’m thankful for her willingness to help and the sacrifices she has made to keep Gather Inspirit going. Saying thank you Marci, is not enough!
Third, the rest of the team… past and present that have made this possible. I am so grateful for your contributions and support!

This was not an easy decision. This post was very hard for me to write. My vision, I was passionate about and I still am. However, seasons do change. I’m okay with that. I’ve made some beautiful, precious friends and for that I am blessed!

So thankful for the fruit that came out of this place. I understand the calling to let things go. I have been there to and though it is not always easy, we find more peace in obedience then we do in holding on to something we know we need to let go of.
