I'm struggling in this same area right now, personally. I know God gave me both my blogs, as well as the opportunities to join such teams as Gather Inspirit and Exemplify. I am honestly struggling with the balance between writing what He wants me to write, and still managing to do the other tasks He has given me, and do them WELL. This post should be on the top of every Christian blogger daily reading list. It is so hard to lose focus, especially when our nature is to compare to others. God has given each of us a unique mission and purpose. For some, blogging is a ministry...for others a business endeavor. The problem is keeping them in proper order with His purpose at the forefront. Thanks for the soul check! I'm a few days away from 3 months of blogging and I've been praying and thinking about this topic a lot lately. I took stats off early on... I was too obsessed! I find ways to sneak and see who's on with things like yesterday's poll, but it helps a lot not having stats to look at. I want to glorify God in all that I do, but sometimes worry that I might be coming across as glorifying myself. Maybe it would help to have some accountability in the blog world... to have sisters (and brothers) in Christ who you can trust and will tell you if you're starting to let other things try to outshine God (not that they can outshine him, of course). I never want to forsake my first love and put myself in front of him, but I do like blogging and want to have readers. It's hard to figure out how that looks!
